How to Reupholster a Dining Room Chair
Would you like to change the look of the color or the pattern of the seat?
Here some ideas on how to reupholster a dining room chair that you can do yourself...
Step 1 - How to Reupholster a Dining Room Chair
First, you will need to gather any materials that you will use, especially the fabric that you have chosen and a staple gun. If you are adding more padding to the seat, you will need pieces of foam that you will need to have cut to fit the seat of the chair, and glue so that you can glue it down to the existing seat.
You will also need to have your fabric pieces cut to fit over the seat. Be sure to have enough fabric to completely cover around the seat, and to pull underneath a few inches to staple for a secure hold.

Next, you will need to remove the seat of the chair. Most are screwed on so you will need to carefully unscrew them from the bottom. If adding the foam, you will need apply plenty of glue for a strong hold, and turn face down to dry.
