The first romantic bedroom idea that you might want to consider is that your master bedroom needs to be an atmosphere that surrounds you with reminders of why you chose to share a bedroom with your partner in the first place. Framed photos of the two of you together, placed on the night stand, or hung on the wall, will add a nice touch to your bedroom decor.

Another romantic bedroom idea that has become quite popular, is having a framed photo of your wedding day, or various poses of your kids hung above your bed. Romantic artwork can also be a nice touch to a master bedroom. One idea that really made a nice piece for our bedroom is The Kiss, by Gustav Klimt.

Next, it is very important to have different types of lighting. Just having one bright light that hangs from your ceiling doesn't really create romance or provide the right light for reading or relaxing. Adding lamps and candles will provide the perfect amount of light for those moods.

Another romantic bedroom idea to consider is color. You'll want to choose colors that are pleasing to both of you. Guys aren't always big fans of loud floral bedding patterns, or shades of pink. There are several colors that can work for both of you. Neutral tones with black or different shades of blue, and rich red or brown tones are colors that can be easy to agree on. Silk floral arrangements and candles can really add color to coordinate with your decor too.

Your bedroom needs to be a place where you can relax and unwind from the stresses of your day. Not just a place to rest, but for romance. Create a space thats is for the both of you to have that is all your own. Leave the papers in the office. Leave the toys in the kids bedrooms. Make the dog or the cat start sleeping in another room. Take back what's yours and enjoy it!
